i am an RINGWOOD AND DISTRICT FISHING CLUB MEMBER i have coarse fishing from iford bridge to tuckton bridge avaliable to me with the kayak .the club sell day tickets for the venue from davis tackle i t is very resonable at i think £6 a day .the venue can be accsessed either at iford bridge or below the venue from wick ...it holds nearly everthing you could wish for ....roach over two pound dace to british record size bream to seven pound chub over seven pound a slim chance of a barbel ...also many large carp which i have strong resevations about fishing for from a kayak ....large pike to over twenty pounds and mullet and bass galore .... i paya £145 a year to be a member which of coarse gives me accsess to most of the stour and avon but this is not kayakable .....it also gives me accsess to many lakes ....so all in all it is a fantastic ticket to have ..and like i say very resonable on a day ticket .....

Hi Cam I live in Oxford where we to have great fishing and probably some of the finest fishing on the River Thames to be had, we also have a free fishing section of the Thames in Oxford known as the Isis where no permits are required, we too have everything you mention but not the mullet and Bass....My question to you would be about the Sea Trout fishing in your area? Personally i have never caught a sea trout or Salmon and would love to have a go catching one sometime! What do you think of my chances Cam?
Tony..

i am no expert on the catching of either i have had two salmon in my life and no more than a dozen sea trout ...thousands of rainbows dozens of browns some cheetahs and some tigers oh and lots of triploids...early season in christchurch harbour when you are not allowed to coarse fish but can fish for mullet below the claypool ...lots of sea trout get caught ..on bread ...there are also some real big fish that get accidently caught by mullet anglers and bass anglers ...biggest sea trouti have heard of is fourteen pound ...huge fish jump out all the time in the harbour and above ...so yeah there is a good chance but i think targeting them could be frustrating ..better to allow one to come along while seeking other quarry ...that might sound strange but its how i find it .
