As the title suggests looking for drop shot rod.
After fighting the urge to try this method I have decided to give it a go but I don't want to break the bank, been looking at the savage gear range. What are you chaps using?

As far as size goes I guess the lighter of the two as its mainly for perch, what size do you have?

I have the lighter one and I have a Greys 7g-20g as well but that came at a bargain price. Too many rods and not enough time.  Terry |

 any light spinning rod will do for drop shotting for perch ..you dont need to spend a fortune ..look around ..i find 7-8ft is a good length to get over reeds or out too drop along side moored boats and barges from the bank ..also good for kayak use ..the perch in the picture was taken on a okuma 5-20g rod my lad uses from the bank |

You didn't say that yesterday Daz when you forced me into buying that Quantum Specialis Felchen Centex drop shot rod!
My arm is still hurting where you forced it up my back.

I'm hoping to get the 5-9g Berkley drop shot rod in the next couple of weeks.
Up until I broke it in the car, I used a 2-10g Abu Devil spin rod for £20.
