Anybody interested in fishing a freshwater kayak angling winter league?
My idea involves kayak anglers selecting three local venues and then fishing them on competition weekends (Friday to Monday) trying to catch a "Grand Slam" of four species - Roach, Bream, Perch & Pike. The total length of the largest fish of each species adds up to your "Grand Slam" fish length.
Anybody interested???

I like the idea it is just the application.
We have got the Fenlands meet coming up and that is 2 hours each way for me.
I think it is one for the future as numbers increase.
Perhaps we will have to set up a list of members and locations to get localised events sorted easily. We are few and generally well spread.
Don't give up on it Andrew I think it is a case of 'just around the corner'.

It would be a good idea to maybe run a poll to establish how many freshwater kayak anglers there are in each region and how many would be interested in competition angling.

As a thought how about doing this when we sort out regular meets as it would be nice to try different venues and to go against the " locals " and it would make for a friendly bit of rivalry and favour no one

I am going to be as bold to suggest one competition weekend per month.
WEEKEND 10th & 11th November
My venue: Macclesfield Canal
Anybody else want to join in and name their venue.
