Hi managed to pinch a couple off hours so took my paddle board to ashyby lake scunny.Its quite a strange place really with jetskies one end fisherman at the sides .Its also got sandy beach areas where people sunbathe.At the far end theres alot of sunken tree roots and reed beds sort of mangrove ish.It was this area whilst stood on my board all maner of fish were swimming underneath shoals of perch ,roach.and every now and again large carp just crusing past.It really altars the whole view stood looking down to depths below.All this with morrisions one side and the steel works the other.

Most of the time Daz I used to stop paddling and have a chat with the carp boys and for the most part they were cool with us kayak fishing and actually liked watching me fly fishing, perhaps it made them laugh, who knows.
