Esthwaite Grandslam 2016

Right folks Sam Baxter is putting together the final plans for the 2016 event. This is a great excuse for a trip up to The Lake District.
Well planned on a very special fishery.

Well folks it's that time of year where we can start planning for this year's Esthwaite competition and this year is set to be another cracker!

Lowrance have kindly agreed they will be our main sponsor again, this year they shall be providing a Lowrance HOOK-5 CHIRP Fishfinder as top prize. Lovely units and at £400+ that's a nice prize. They shall also be providing a Lowrance jacket for 2nd place plus free Buffs and fish measures for everyone smile emoticon

This is the first competition in the 'Lowrance British Kayak Grand Slam', a series of three grand slam events held at different locations in the UK (Esthwaite, Runswick Bay and Christchurch).

The series champion shall be awarded with a trophy and a Lowrance champions jacket smile emoticon Just to make it a bit sweeter the champion shall walk away with a cheque for up to £500 as well!!

As well as Lowrance we also have a host of new sponsors, big thank you to:

All of this combined means the series will have well over £3000 worth of prizes!

Some may of noticed a slight increase in entry fee this year, this is so I can buy a few extra prizes as well meaning prizes will be awarded down to 10th place.

Sam, you, me and all the others who have done Esthwaite know how good the fishing is so we need others to join us.

The best thing is many like me and Daz will see it as a chance to have a visit to one or two other lakes by coming up early.
