Right guys it has been a long time in coming, eight long years of emails, visits, demos and phone calls for me , but we now have the final official draft of the agreement for Anglian Waters Big Four. Please be aware that you should ring the day before travelling to confirm weather etc. On occasions they may refuse access.....major fishing match, big regatta etc but these times will be rare and some waters may have additional local rules over prohibited areas or similar. You will be required to comply with the terms and conditions below and be able to demonstrate the conditions in bold text and you will be checked. Remember it needs to be two or more to get on the water. Can I suggest if you are planning a trip that you put a post up here as there may be someone looking to have a trip but has not got a buddy to pair up with. Any queries ask away. Good Luck and tight lines. Terry

Looks like you've done a bloody good job there Terry, sensible conditions without no silly hoops to jump through.
I'm sure that once a few miles are on the clock with AW this will prove to be an opening key to some other venues that are currently not available.
Well done sir!

Ooooh.... Go on then... I dare ya The only issue I can see is that the other res allow fishing boats already. I believe Alton has a sailing/canoeing/kayaking club in a small area only. Could be wrong in that but good luck all the same Terry. Untapped potential there for sure.

Well done Terry, you must very pleased after all that time.
The 3rd party insurance and the radio have knocked it on the head for me, Ive e mailed Gary Palmer and told him that I will have to withdraw from the upcoming WPC qualifier at Grafham.
I have neither.
It's a shame as I was looking forward to it.

Just to confirm for the kayak fishermen going to the WPC England event next weekend at Grafham, I can tell you that as long as you have a mobile phone OR a VHF radio, you will be fine (I have confirmed with Gary, that kayak fishermen do NOT need both).
You do need to try to organise third party insurance though - if you are a member of the BCU (Canoe England), or Angling Trust or SWKF then you probably already have this ;-)

We have been to Pitsford a few times now, we have never been asked to have a radio a mobile each was the only communication requirement. Will this now change, Terry? I am planning to get a radio later but I wasn't thinking of getting one till next year (I have to get my new boat first 😉). I am also not thinking of getting MD a radio yet though, I hope this won't be a problem?

You will also get discounts at Escape watersports so you could recoup you money on that alone.
