Got chatting to the Bailiff today whilst chucking some plastic from the bank. Got a verbal "No problem with fishing from the kayak as long as you're sensible"
For £12 a season that's me set!

What club? thought most of the 20ft was London angling, even waters where I have only seen one angler in five years they said no to kayak fishing. I thought march town was free but have not seen any slips or easy entries although Bod72 lives that way and fishes it or did. Trying to find a pit or two now to fish through the close season, had a small pit but now its been filled.

March and District Angling Association The Old Nene in March is free from the A141 through the town and out to the last cottage before the 20 Foot junction (Creek Road). Then it's MADAA water. You can put in quite easily near the A141 if you don't mind wet feet (the margins are about 18" but then drop into 4'. As for the 20 Foot MADAA have control of the bank from the Old Neen junction for 3.5miles to Goosetree Corner (identifiable on Google maps where the A605 almost touches the 20 Foot near the A141 Junction. The Bailiff mentioned thank-you can't troll from a kayak so he knows the rules and I'm taking it as Gospel.

Just home early, most local waters you are not allowed to troll from a powered vessel, paddled or poled like a punt don,t count although most people are not clear, a couple of places I had that said , I said ok but you check it out and then when I saw them again they were ok ,joke is you see cruisers powering along with lures out and no-way can they tell they have a bite , I always tell them I intend to report them which doesn't go down well.

A club I will have to join for next season though. I'm going to concentrate there for next season. Blow off some cobwebs and get a feel for fishing a float. You can get the ticket from Millview Tackle. It's at the back of the Sainsbury car park. Maybe see you on there after the glorious 16th

Apparently so. It is heavily match fished at the moment as it is fishing very well. On one of the stretches a 60lb bag of Bream and Tench was taken, and that was mid Feb!
