Hi guys,
Looking at a few websites, including the London Angling Association (LAA). I am led to believe that the Hollywell stretch of the Great Ouse is for members of LAA?
Is this correct?
Any help would be appreciated.

As you launch from hollywell ,handy little natural slip, LAA have the bank on the right towards St ives ,for 1/2 mile up to the end of the big meadow. After that no club on the banks listed anywhere ,not even easy bank access, trees etc you get to the stretch which has the guided bas bridge ,very good area for perch and chub after about two hundred yards the river bends and gets a crappy bottom from the heavy tree growth and is very poor fishing,Used to get a few zander here but deadlines have reduced their numbers. The left hand bank has no fishing club, the land behind is a SSI ( brilliant fishing pits now no more)so fish that side. In six years occasionally fishing and paddling there I have seen two fishermen ,only one of which had an LAA membership. If you go left out of hollywell again no club as nature reserve owns bank for 1/2 mile , you have to go another mile to get into earith angling club waters ,then over aa you will also see many boats fishing ,trolling at speed etc, Earith bridge -easy slip ,go upstream towards the sluice ,tidal and no club has left hand bank rights and having rescued many waterway bouys for the agency and returned them to the hermitage lock and talked to the guys there and the farmers on the fields on the left which have all the interesting marks .Near the old railway bridge is good for bream and tench, further up better for predators although I have only had small pike this last year ,also a few trout and flounders. The seals which pop up here make you jump and I have not been able to get a good picture of one yet, as soon as you lift up a camera down they go! Earith hundred foot CFPAS are fine with kayak fishing, the old Bedford ,the only place that's easy to launch is next to earith bridge but trolley your yak for 1/2 mile along the stone road and then there is a shallow cow drink which is an easy launch but it is a trek ,very good fishing the old Bedford, take a fiver for a day ticket as it is hard to tell which club has what from the water. All the best Chris

Thanks Chris,
Plenty of info there.
When is the closed season for pike? I'm dying to get out and try all of my gear out. Bought it all in August last year and only just got my kayak and fishing license this month.
Already looking to get a bigger yak as I don't really fit on to mine. Have to have my feet crumpled up at the front.

Pike fishing is the same as all coarse fishing on rivers and drains 16th June to 14 March. Great info Chris. Terry

Ahh, cool.
Glad I didn't take my fishing stuff on Monday when I went for a paddle.
