These are being pushed a lot. They seem too good to be true it will be interesting to hear the feedback when people start using them in earnest. I haven't looked closely at them but I guess they are only going to be available in larger sizes. I cannot see the technology working with a size 22. Plus pro rata they will have to be thicker and heavier. How thick a tube would you need for 20lb line for instance? Then there is braid, it must work on compression/constriction for grip, I cannot see that working on braid. The problem may be that they will be significantly dearer than conventional hooks due to the cost of manufacture. How will you get anglers to have a full range of hooks in the Lynx style with the inevitable costs. They need to get freebies into the market place as quickly as possible to really get the hype out there. Is this the new 'knotless knot'? Terry

only one way to tell ..need a ten/0 aberdeen and some eighty pound mono plus a swivel ...bung the hook round a door handle and put a skewer therough the swivel .if the hook starts to open when you straighten the mono then it was a good knot .if the swivel snaps it was a good knot ..i think it could work think how a braided flyloop grips a flyline ...But dont know about you but i use grinners also known as uni knots ...with magic spit applied they are over ninty percent knots and if i put a mackerel strip on i use the tag end of the knot to sort of hold the strip in place and what about the fact that ninety percent of the time while sea fishing i use pennel rigs ..christ yesterday i was using 14inch squid with three ten/o hooks involved ..no i didnt catch a cod ....had some nice whiting though ....so how can i use these things for pennel rigging ...getting doubtful the more i think about it ...Terry size 22 is hard for me now i sort of draw the line at eighteens .but i will go to twentys for roach but some little chinease bird ties them for me ...thank you mr Drennan ..Heres a sea fish bait robbing little sod

The vid says crimps weaken the line, isn't the hook acting as a single crimp. I will keep an open mind and maybe I'll get the opportunity to try some Another vote for the grinner/ uni.

As said..... my knots have not failed me over the years. I will only change if I have a problem or if the hooks are very cheap I cannot see me changing.
