One thing that seems to be growing in popularity is ultra light fishing. This could be drop shot, vertical jigging and light plastic shads, worms etc. It is spreading through the predator fishing community, boats, kayaks and bank. It could be a difficult market to break in to as there are established sellers already but the market IS growing. Just be careful the rods and reels can be expensive don't commit too much but the lure side is cheaper. Hey what am I saying you guys know what to invest instock Drogue in camo? The fly fishing community have been using them in dark green for years with no problems. To be honest it confuses me why the Bivvy Boys dress up in camo gear on the bank and then cast 75yards out. Hell those carp must have good vision. As a guide the last gear I brought was a Greys drop shot rod discounted to £29.99, some 15lb braid, drop shot hooks, lead head hooks, plastic bloodworm, rubber fish/shad. Perhaps if a few people told you their recent buys it might show a trend???

I,ve been looking at light -less tackle for yak fishing. The yanks have been ahead of us and you would be wise to browse their online tackle shops to see how our trends might follow. I,m looking at doing some fly fishing from the yak, 8.6" or 9ft rods ,reels line and flies for pike ,perch, let alone sea fish, its a growing trend. I saw you already have some gear (,I might be tempted for a rod if the family don,t pick up on a hint or two I,v given them! ) the drop shot style is something to check on to, clip on rod alarms for ledgering ,waterproof radios, waterproof LED torches-to fix on pfd. all these are things I have been looking for lately. Wish you all the best Al, will check you site whenever I'm looking for gear.

with the drop shot fishing Al...i wouldnt go mad on rods and reals but look more to the small rubber baits, hooks, weights, light braids, and a selection of wire trace ( and not the stuff used for porgys ;D )
the gear is much the same used at sea but doesnt HAVE to be salt proof.
rods are still favoured at 7/8ft unless we are float fishing deeper rivers where we would like a 13ft rod.
