This is just a list of places I've used and by no means exhaustive. Rule of thumb on the broads it seems, is, if you can get to it, you can launch, just be careful of private property or you may be on the receiving end of a traditional Norfolk greeting... 'GET ORF MOY LAAAND' Mayton Bridge, non-tidal. Concrete slipway. Breathtaking in the summer, stark but beautiful in the winter. Challenging but rewarding fishing. PM for more details if needed, don't want this to be abused by lurkers. Horstead Mill. Non-Tidal and Tidal. The tidal boundary. You can go upstream or down from here. Be careful of launching in the mill pool. Best bet is the beachy area on the left, just past the mill. Coltishall Commom. Small slip/drop dock. Tidal. Little current up here. Belaugh Staithe. My first ever launching place. Very limited parking, lovely stretch of river. Wroxham. Bottom of Roys' car park. Ask at Wroxham Tackle Shop. Be nice and buy something, Marks' a 'yakker too! Salhouse Broad. Easy to launch on the beach but you'll need a solid trolley to lug it there through the woodland trail. About a 1/2 mile trek. Woodbastwick, opposite Horning Ferry Pub. No slip, just drop it in at the side at the car park. Tidal movements are becomoing noticeable from here on downstream. That's the limit of my knowledge as I'm still new and don't want to contend with too much current just yet. Hope this helps some people.

Great stuff, this is the sort of local knowledge that is invaluable for visiting kayakers.
Thanks

It's always good to get lanching info - only one thing I would say though. Don't try to launch from Coltishall Common as there is a local bylaw in place preventing launchig that up until about a year ago the parish counil was happy to waive. However, if you go there now the place is covered in signs stating that launchng is prohibited. I won't go into the exact reasons why.

There is also behind the swan in at horning. Pay and display car park nearby gives easy access to drop in yak.

Wroxham Broad has a good launch and last time I was there is was free parking
There is a concrete slip at horning near the Swan, you just have to ask for the padlock key form the newsagent (chain over entrance)
