Just wanted to be the first! ha ha , seriously ,I do enjoy my paddling, if I didn,t get earache I,d go for a paddle ever night after work! takes the knots and the stress out , and after a good paddle to sit back and fish is the ultimate for me. But if not fishing, happy to have a good paddle, near me is a drainage system called the bedfords, two rivers dug out mostly 1/4 mile apart and 25 miles long and pretty strait, wellny,s in the middle. When the winds in line the swell can be brilliant for a river,it floods over and is just medieval when you out there. I did 10 miles up stopped for a pint at a pub and 10 back against the wind and it was a great workout, but it also made me decide to get a dorado !I want to do the length and back one day just to say I have , can,t help it ;D chris

I know what you mean about the wind Chris.
Why is it that there can be no wind when you are outbound and so you venture just that bit further but as soon as you start back the wind begins to pick up and it is in your face all the way back?
