It depends how hot blooded you are really. I have a Sundrige ' sleep suit' which is a long johns and long sleeved top in micro fleece, now they are so good, I don't wear anything else but it has to be really cold for me to wear that. Usually I just wear shorts, t-shirt and a thin woolen jumper even at this time of the year. I don't feel the cold very much Kell

This time of year?
I have a Typhoon 'baby grow' whoops...fleece. I wear that with thick socks two shirts and that's it. I have been out most weeks since the New Year in the coldest of weather and it does for me.

I find that its not always the same for me, its odd but sometimes I get bloody cold and other times don,t notice it, especially if catching. But I always like to dress so if I go in the water I can take it, a drysuit doesn't keep you warm at all, if I just go for a paddle and a quick self rescue whens its cold the cold shock really hits home if I only have a rash vest and light trousers underneath, even though I might be sweating hard, so I try to not overheat with the paddling, and wear what will keep me bearable in the water, I can get back on quite quick in pratice but I,ve been in the water buggering about with lines around my legs and also once praticing on a river it was soft silt two foot under the top and very awkward to get out of didn't see it !.If your not sure the next time your out, when you have finished and are packing up, before you take the suit off wade out to your neck for a minute, you cool down far quicker than you think.Dress for getting wet always. soft jeans, rash vest, tee shirt, and light fleece if chilly for me , really cold- plus typhoon "baby grow" ;D roll on spring time
