Please share any fly fishery locations that welcome kayak anglers with the lads. PLease include launch points and licenses required. Any help on tactics and species would also go down well.

From Bod72 on AKA. Well done mate. I have been in discussion with Martin Dawson, owner of Earith Lakes in rural Cambridgeshire, and he has kindly agreed to allow kayak anglers in his fly-fishing water. The trout lake is 12 acres in size; a mature gravel pit with lots of underwater features and plenty of hard-fighting Brown and Rainbow trout into double figures. You can read more about the venue and rules at www.EarithLakes.comMartin has requested that kayakers phone in advance in order to check availability. In addition to the normal rules, the following will apply: -PFDs MUST be worn at all times -All kayak anglers must carry a mobile phone. -Due to the nature of the water, drifting is not allowed. You must anchor before casting out. -Please respect the space of bank anglers. If all goes well and there is sufficient interest, it may be possible to book the whole lake for a future event, so please show Martin your support by paying him a visit. Please feel free to circulate this post across any forums or sites where it might be useful. I’m not a fluff-chucker and have no commercial connection with Martin so any questions should be directly to the fishery by phone.
