sunnies on, it's gonna be a beautiful day The coarse season starts on Sunday 16th June, which is Father's Day of all things...fathers among you know that this is children's day as father's definitely don't get to spend the day out with their mates on the water...so...a postponement of the repeat of previous years. Dunno how many years we've been doing this but a few of us get together at Beccles to see the season in with a day on the river, trolling up to the pub at Geldeston and doing a mix of pred and silver bashing along the way and on the way back. Lovely scenic bit of water, cracking real ale, good (but getting pricey now) food and the pickled dinosaur eggs. Already saying 'hell yeah' are four people, one 4 hours away who came once before and someone without a yak amongst them. You coming?

I'll be up for that mate, only 40 minutes away, looking forward to it. Might book the Monday off, bring a bivvy and fish overnight, ( and have a beer then! ;0)

Lucky sods.... I will be stuck in Crete with a telescopic rod and some small lures. Oh and a lot of sun and booze. :-)
