Got these two Wilderness Commanders 120 /140 last year and haven't really rigged them up yet. So looking for some tips! I was intending to add some buoyancy (http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?3563-DIY-Bouyancy-Blocks-and-fitting) and bow covers. I also have a crate with rod holders + they both have pulley anchor set up on the side. And we both have bailing pumps. What else do you think I / we need?

Never seen those before Daryl they look nice boats. SOTP is a great source of information. have you thought about adding a fish finder? Have you tried anchoring yet? Nice to see someone trying a different style for fishing afloat they look perfect for carrying a bit of gear something I am a little guilty of at times. Terry

A Fish finder was my first question!
Does anyone have any recommendations? On makes and fitting them.
We got these Commanders as I really wanted something comfortable as my back is a bit dodgy. And I was after something that my feet weren't above my hips! And as we fly fish I felt standing would be useful or at least sitting on the 'captain's seat' would be good. They are probably limited to rivers, lakes and estuaries but its pretty unlikely we are going to surf launch or paddle out to a sea mark 5 miles off shore. So they seemed a good bet! Time will tell!
Sorry whats SOTP?

SOTP = Song Of The Paddle Stick to the main brands Garmin, Humminbird and Lowrance. You could fit one easy enough. You need a way of mounting the head disply unit that you can view and push the buttons. The transducer can be fitted to the inside of the hull the same way as we all do with sealant such as Sikaflex. You would need it to be away from any danger of kicking it loose, then fit the battery in a 'clip lock' type sandwich box with a hole in the side for the cable. If you are thinking of fitting one I am sure someone could see you and give you a hand. When you talk about seats and comfort have at the seats on the Jackson Kayak range. Some call them deck chairs and to be honest they are very comfortable other manufacturers are starting to fit them now too. You have it spot on for the Commander, flatwater as the yanks call it. Thanks for the tips on the fish finders. All of them have external batteries then?

You can buy some that use AA batteries but they often cost the same as a normal one.
