Well if all goes according to plan I may try some 'fluff chucking' in the shallows at Rudyard tomorrow. Terry

Sorry I completely forgot. It was glorious sunshine but a strong wind. I focused on the top end of the lake trying to improve my fly fishing but in the wind it was challenging to say the least. I had two takes that I missed and brought two small pike to the side of the kayak but never actually got them onto the yak. I think I need to try and hit them a bit harder perhaps, I don't seem to be getting a really good hook hold. Biggest problem on the day was the colour in the water. The shallows are mud bottomed and the Ranger said they had had strong winds for a few days and so it was very coloured and visibility was poor. I did troll a lure back down the lake with no takes. The wind was so strong that without actually paddling I was drifting at 2.5 mph. I ended up paddling just short of 6 miles and enjoyed the day. I will post a couple of pictures later. Terry
