Hi , thought as I was near I,d take a photo of the slipway, parking area and a picture of the turn in the village, it,s not obvious ,in Over ,Cambs. turning to river, 1/2 mile ,follow road up and over bank. Lots of open grass ,often people camping here, club waters to right, for mile and half ,wide ,10 -15 ft deep ,good fishing. Usually fairly clear and one spot I use a pike fly locally. concrete slip way, easy launch. As you can see just to left is a marina basin and opposite a pub,the Pike and Eel, I always seem to find launch points near a pub ,Ha HA .good food too. There is a tackle shop (though not one I use ) 2 miles away,at high gate farm ,Willingham. They will do you a day ticket or a membership. You are only 4 miles from A14 services at Swaversey, a good turning og point on the A14 just north of Cambridge.Hot food etc ! When I talked to the chairman of CFPAS I told him I,d ask anyone using their waters more than once to join, easier for the bailiffs to see and shows we are not hiding anything sort of thing.

There is another pub to the left about a mile and a half ,which is the oldest know in England, there has been a know inn on the site since saxon times. And the one opposite, the pike and eel, was one of Oliver Cromwell's favourites, ! Its often fairly clear here too Terry, ok for a fly.

That looks a really nice spot, fair old trip for me though but if it is fishing well, I could be tempted.

All the great ouse gets a bit boaty at weekends- except the Erith bridge section of the new Bedford , no boats go here ( horray) ,there have been a lot of grebes and cormorants on there so that should fish ok, after a mile and a half you notice the tidal effect, here there are less pike, but more zander ,. Good for roach and bream, tench and used to get some massive eels , but no-one fishes for them now. Under the bridge towards Erith village is open water for a 1/2 mile, can't find any club signs. ( never seen anyone fishing here at all ,ever !)but have seen carp feeding when the water clears, bream too.
