I'm off out to do a spot of drop shotting on Sunday if anyone fancies joining me? Ill be fishing the Ashby canal around Carlton Near Market Bosworth, a lovely stretch with plenty of fish to go at, preds in the shape of Pike, Zander and Perch and Carp, Bream, Silvers etc. It would be nice to meet a few like minded paddle buddies, especially as Im a novice yakker really!

Which way do you head from the Wharf Chay? Terry Hi terry, I went back towards bosworth. I had a few small perch on the drop shot but nothing spectacular, the water is so coloured and shallow in parts it's not really a lure water. I'm going on the Coventry canal at Hartshill on Monday, I have had lots of zed's and good perch from the stretch between Hartshill and Atherstone.

The thing that pots me of the Ashby is the amount of debris on the surface, plus as you say the deeper bits are very few and far between. We must sort the visit to the other potential water soon too.
