Hope this helps you out if you are doing the same install. The Transducer fits a treat with the mounting bracket supplied in the box with the unit and it does not sit to proud of the kayak bottom Next comes the hard part. Because the plug is quite big and wont feed down the tube to the fitting area you have to take the pod lid to bits. once you have removed the fixing plate for the fish finder you can see the end of the tube, the whole thing is held together with a Cir clip. Remove the Cir clip (lucky I had Cir Clip pliers) and slide the pod cover away from the stainless tube You can now see that there is a grove running the length of the tube which you can lay the cables in. I tried to insert the plug into the pod lid but found the plug was still to big. On closer inspection the plastic tube inside the pod lid can also be removed and has the same grove. I drilled a whole and inserted a cable glad to take the cable for the battery, its quite short but long enough to have the battery by the front hatch, you would have to extend it a fair bit to reach the battery storage behind the seat. Now mount your fish finder on the correct part of the lid making sure that when the pod is turned it does not get caught on anything and put it all back together PS I forgot to mention that the cable to the transducer so it takes a bit of coiling and fiddling to get it all to fit under the Finder, just dont use long screws when fixing the head unit as these might spilt the cables under it.
