Stu
Knowing that your yak has no fittings to take a rod holder you have various options.
I used to manage with the various ports on my T13 hatch and the cannon holders but now like the versatility of the track system on my Slayer.
In my opinion you won't go too far wrong setting your yak up to accept the various Scotty products.
Scotty do various rod holders including one designed for fly rods. I currently use the scotty powerlock on a track adapter as I find it suits most of my needs and I can position the rod wherever suits. If you want a look at one of these then pop round anytime. When we eventually go for a paddle you could also try one.
Fiona at 1st Wet & Wild stocks the track and a most of the scotty rod holders (including the fly one) plus other ports if you want to fix your holder in one position.
She also stocks some of the Railblaza products including the new Starport HD.
She now seems to be good on price as well plus you avoid any carriage charges.
Hope this helps.
