Hi, I have just acquired a Galaxy cruz from a friend of mine. He used it for sea fishing mostly but I intend to start out on the Wye and the severn. Looking forward to picking up a few tips from here along the way.

A warm welcome CC, I am certain you will find sound and friendly advice on here where needed and don't be afraid to ask. The rivers are now open so with the Severn on your door step, I am sure you will enjoy fresh water kayak fishing.

Chilli, Just as a starter mate make sure you have a navigation permit, either from the Angling Trust or British Canoe Union, also a rod license and probably most important of all make sure the local club allows fishing from a kayak and that you have a day/season ticket. It's a great way to go fishing mate. Enjoy. Terry
