I keep an Olympus tough on a lanyard in a case around my neck stuffed inside p f d for instant access .This can be used for selfies but mainly for outward shots of other people and environment. Also I have a GoPro mounted pointing back towards me which can be activated by remote to take time lapse or video (this is set up in case I catch the fish of s lifetime) (I have not had to use it yet :-) ) Pieman

@nd vote for the TG4 Tough. Great camera, mine has been used and abused on fresh and salt water and is great.
I had a Garmin Verb but did not get on with it but some love it then there is a new one just come out from TomTom that looks good. Daz has just ordered one.
There are cheaper units around and all have their follower. I think the GoPro ( I have a 3 & 4) are the market leaders, just take a look at BBC outdoor broadcasts and you will often see the little silver box.

A third for Olympus Tough. Great for point n shoot stills. It has video, but I prefer stills. I have an Oregon Scientific video cam too... just can't be arsed to use it.

Go Pro 4 Black for me. It's still at the trial / playing about stage, got a bit of footage now (nothing of note), so the next challenge is editing ? First impressions are good though.
