Looking like just four of us. Does no one else fancy a go at the zeds? They are getting bigger. Four doubles in the last week. Topped off with a 13 pounder by Rikki Cooper. I was chatting to him on Saturday and he had a load of fish between 6 and 13. Mind you others were getting smaller ones and Rikki is an England international Lure angler. Terry

I am definitely tempted Terry but have no-one to travel with so the 250 mile round trip isn't too appealing. I need to get there though as I bought loads of gear for your first visit until my daughter ended up in hospital. I will let you know nearer the time.

No problem Ian.
Rikki Cooper says the zeds were coughing up smaller zeds so it looks as if they are feeding hard. The great thing is that although before this season there had only been the odd double reported in the last week 4 have been caught and at that feeding rate there may be even more coming. He actually said they were feeding that voraciously that he could feel fish that had been eaten only moments before still moving in their guts. Amazing!

Looks a fine selection. I would like to think if any of us start catching we will share all the info. I would rather see us all catch than just one guy on a secret lure. Terry

Conditions are looking perfect, overcast and winds below 5mph. There won't be many days like this through the winter. Cannot wait. Terry

Right lads...just come off the phone to Andy the head ranger and a couple of changes...... First we can now launch from the Fishing Lodge instead of Whitwell. I had asked for us to be treated as ANGLERS in a kayak and not KAYAKERS that fish. So now we are not tied to the Watersports Centre in Whitwell. This does mean a longer paddle to the North Arm but our time on the water will be longer. There is a grassy area to the left of the pontoons and that is where we are to launch from. You MUST all wash down when you come off the water. There is a wash station to the right of the pontoons. Wash your yak, drysuit net and unhooking mat. Make a show of it as I am told we are being watched by other anglers and one or two wardens who think we will mis-behave. We have to be seen to be better behaved than the rest of the anglers. But hey....we ARE anyway. All this means we can meet at the lodge carpark around 8 o'clock so we can get on the water at least an hour earlier than before and hopefully a little later coming off too. We will have to have a look at the lake map as well as restrictions come into force from Sunday on how far down the arms we can go due to over wintering wildfowl. So lads eightish meet, I think the carpark will open around 20 mins before. Look forward to seeing you all. Terry

It's their new policy Steve now that Grafham and Pitsford have got the invasive shrimp. They are trying to stem the tide. I must say when I was last at Pitsford it was useful as the Hobie was covered in mud from the launch area. The tackle shop has quite a bit of gear in as well Steve ....just in case the LUREMAN needs a few moe. Terry
