As the title suggests, I am buying a new kayak next Saturday (29/4/17)
I'm going to pick a Galaxy Sturgeon up from the Galaxy warehouse and was wondering if any of you guys have one and have any opinions of it?
I'm buying one because it's about 3 foot longer than my current one, which I can't really stretch my legs out on. As such, my legs go dead after about 30 minutes of paddling. Hopefully it's long enough for me (5 foot 11 ish) to stretch out on.

Good for you matey, I am sure you will enjoy the kayak as a great deal of effort went into the design of this kayak. Whilst I don't have one so can't tell you how good there are, a friend of both Terry's and myself has got a couple and rates them very highly. There are a few members of the 'North Wales Kayak Fishing' forum who own these kayaks and are happy with them.
I hope you enjoy your new purchase and post some photo's of it.
Phil

Cheers Philpot,
I've read a few reviews and seen a pretty much all of the YouTube videos of them and they do seem pretty good. The newer version has some updates which solve some of the problems in the first version of it. Like the anchor storage part has been removed as it was holding water.
It was the thought that's gone into it that's convinced me to get it.

Daz is you man on here he used one for a while and was very impressed. I think they are probably the best value for money kayaks out there. Graeme, the importer is a great guy, I have met him several times and he is genuine and sincere. I think you will like him. He has worked hard to bring an affordable, fully rigged kayak to market and the Sturgeon has done that. Graeme and Galaxy are going from strength to strength with new models on the horizon. Terry

Well, I have the Galaxy Sturgeon! It's huge! Also REALLY heavy! It's a struggle to get it on and off the L200 roof, but I can sort of manage.
Took it down to the Great Ouse once I had it set up and it's a really nice yak for the money!
It's hard to get started paddling, but once you do is pretty easy. Need to get used to pulling a bigger kayak through the water....and also need a trolley....30kg doesn't play well with stones. Already a few scrapes on the hull. Broke my heart!
