My mate and I had a couple of jacks on a wee loch near Glasgow this afternoon, but the fishing was hard, and as we covered the weeded edge of the loch, we (he) decided to paddle down the wee burn that goes from this loch to another (and another after that).
I did point out that we were only going a few hundred yards up that and coming back, but I realised how strong the current was, and that we could struggle to get back again.
My trident 11 turned easily in the burn, his 13 foot kayak struggled, and as I lost all my energy under the bridge paddling and going nowhere, I pulled in to the side and held on to regain my strength. It was a right laugh, and made a somewhat slow day a bit more memorable.
I find I have more memorable days fishing on the yak than I do bank fishing!
The video from the paddle (and portage) back up is taking 400 mins to upload to youtube, but here are a couple from today.

Well done Mike. Wee loch? I know it's not Loch Lomond but that looks bigger than 'wee'. I do love Scotland. Terry
