Welcome to forum Keith Just a quick reply Get the best kayak you can afford and a good paddle . You can buy second hand or go and get new (advice from dealer always handy ) When I first started I bought a book which helped no end with all the small details . Good luck You'll wonder what you used to do with your spare time Pieman

Hi Pieman
Thanks for your reply
I am thinking that already, I am edging towards a Hobie, have you had any experience with them. Trying to find a club or venue Chichester area that I could join.
Regards Keith.

Keith,
Major factors in your choice are: Where are you planning to fish? Sea or fresh? What is your height and weight?
Hobies are great kayaks although not cheap thus you must consider your choice closely.
They do models that are specific to freshwater and perfect for lure fishing like the Pro Angler through to long sleek kayaks perfect for saltwater where speed and distance is often a priority for this the Revo 16 is perfect.

Are you a fresh or salty man Keith? I'm in Horsham so not far from you. I've just picked up my new kayak this evening and still have my old one, an Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 if you want to have a go somewhen soon?

Welcome to the forum Keith. The offer made to you from Andy is exactly what you need as it will give you a perfect taste as to what kayak fishing is about and from someone who has the very experience that you require, if I were you, take up the offer.
Phil
