Hi all, I'm looking at getting into the kayak fishing. I'm a keen pike and perch angler and think it would be great from a kayak. Before I take the plunge into buying anything just want to know if any on here kayak fish in west Yorkshire. Not seen anybody any body doing it so not sure it's it's allowed on the waters around here?
I will contact the local clubs I'm a member of and see what they say about it.

Welcome aboard Tom.
There are quite a few guys not so far away in South and East Yorkshire and I think we may have a couple in West Yorks as well.
In this game, we have a saying ......................... TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. In most cases, people buy a kayak and then find out more of what it is all about and kayak number two comes along, mainly because we bought the wrong kayak for the job.
Take your time and try to meet up with one of the guys to try out their kayak which will give you a great reference point and see what is involved in setting up a fishing kayak along with establishing what budget you may need.
