Hi, I'm Andy. Im currently based in Great Yarmouth and regularly fish the Broads. I'm a member of a few forums but this is the first Kayaking forum I've found that concentrates on Coarse fishing, good on you guys!
I'm a card carrying lure-aholic and mainly fish for Pike and Perch and am just starting out fly fishing for them and others too (i.e. I've got the gear but not had the opportunity to have a crack with them yet).
I got my first kayak, an OK Scrambler, in January and had a fair few trips out but it's currently in storage due to moving house in the near future. I've fitted an anchor trolley and mounted a 'crotch cubby' and 2 rod holders so I can troll.
Can't wait to get my baby back and get out there again. Boat fishing definitely beats trudging the banks but still pales next to kayak fishing and getting eye to eye with your quarry.
Looking forward to reading your catch reports and feeding the hunger!

Hiya mate.
Gy Yarmouth? You must know thw legend that is ....' Snapper' then. He is only just down the road. If you haven;t met heim then you should.
I am jealous .... I love the Broads and the rivers around you the potential for a kayak angler is immense.
We keep talking of locations for a meet and The Broads could make a fantastic option.
Shame the kayyak is out of the water Peterborough tomorrow may have been an option.
Maybe next time.
Terry

Wow, what a response. You're all obviously, completely bonkers, my kind of people!!! Thanks for the big welcome Daz, methinks that would be a great idea, kayaking is just so lure friendly plus being towed around by a 6lb Jack is comedy magic. Terry/GreyGoose, I'd love to arrange a meet somewhere on the Broads. Boat traffic can make life, erm, interesting, but there is so much to explore and so many little offshoots and restricted areas to have a poke around in, ninja style! Shame the 'yak is yellow really Depending on numbers I'm sure we can all find somewhere to launch. I've met Mark, yes. Fantastic bloke and extremely helpful. Tragic choice of head/facewear though Thanks ever so much for the offer Steve, I really appreciate it, but it's too short notice to get the day off now! If only I'd known earlier! Graham, thanks mate, I'll need all the help I can get. Hoping to start afresh at some point as my kayak choice was limited by space more than budget and the scrambler, while great, isn't the most stable platform, I mean, it wobbles when you fart! A lot of hull slap too. Yes, you assume correctly I'm quite active on the LAS forum under the same user name. Have a great day at the meet guys! Look forward to the report!
