www.nativewatercraft.com/boat_detail.cfm?id=48Folks, The Native Watercraft Slayer has hit the water in the US and they are loving it. Native set up a Facebook page to allow anglers to say what they wanted in a fishing kayak. The Slayer is the result. The Slayer is getting great reviews and they have full order books. That's why I am pleased to say that one boat has been brought into the UK and Coarsekayak fishing has been chosen to review this boat. I cannot wait to have a paddle it looks to be a great coarse fishing kayak. Do a quick search to see how well it has performed for the bass anglers. Watch this space!! Terry

The bass anglers in the US demand comfort.
I believe some Hobies are similarly well endowed.

With the exception of the front tankwell, the lines look very similar to my Tarpon 120 so it should be a very good kayak indeed Either a bit of good old plagiarism or some mould-swapping perhaps? I've heard that old Tarpon designs are sometimes reincarnated by other manufacturers - the Perception Catch being an example I understand.

It to me looks very much like a updated mantaray with the design influences of Jackson kayaks. I always liked the Jackson kayaks fishing kayaks but could never get them to ship one over through the importer unless I was buying it.

I've heard that old Tarpon designs are sometimes reincarnated by other manufacturers - the Perception Catch being an example I understand. I would be very surprised if they use the Tarpon bottom mould as I have had the Manta Ray from Native and the Tarpon and the Manta Ray is far more stable as the under side moulding is very different to the Tarpon with hard chines. Terry I would love to come over and have a play with this one. Phil

I am sure we can sort something Phil. I am about to do some pics.
I think it will appeal to a lot of anglers seaking a stable platform.

Waiting for the importer to get back on this.
I believe whether he imports or not may well depend on the reaction to this review.
