I'm looking to create a strong team to compete in the Kayak Wars online competition. The team can have up to five kayak anglers, maybe a specialised freshwater team with members from anywhere in the Uk & Ireland. The format of the competition is quite complex but from what i understand it has three main categories; SALT, FRESHWATER and TOTAL COMBINED POINT (salt points plus freshwater points). Going to talk direct and put my neck on the line, I want to assemble a team that is going to be the best freshwater kayak angling team in the UK. From what i understand team members can change throughout the kayak wars season (February to November). However, the team must always have a minimum of three anglers. There are a 13 x freshwater species to target, they will require an excellent knowledge of venues and method to successfully catch these fish. Anybody fancy signing up to the ULTIMATE FRESHWATER kayak wars team?

Thanks Daz and Terry for taking the plunge. The Kayak Wars format is nothing like the AA Team Species Challenge, offering a level playing field for freshwater kayak anglers. Although the salt species doubles that of freshwater the rules allow twenty fish of each species per month, per team can earn points. Therefore freshwater anglers still have plenty of point scoring fish to target each month. The format has three categories; Saltwater Freshwater Total Inches
This is not just a UK and Ireland competition, but a global tournament. 2500 to 3000 points will secure a top 10 World Freshwater Team placing! That's 250 points per month, approximately 25 minimum sized target fish per month, less than 10 fish per month per angler - no pressure lads! AIM HIGH, God, loves a tried.

Nice one Philpot . The Kayak Wars scheduled start date is Saturday, 18th February. You need a fish measure and a token that will be available on the kayakwars.com website. I have produced some official Kayak Wars UK & Ireland fish measures, 100cm @ £6 and 150cm @ £7 including delivery. They are totally optional, you can create your own. The clever people at Kayak Wars who decide if a fish is accepted can sniff out dodgy measures apparently??? Anyway if you want one email me with your name, address and size requirements and I will inform you of method of payment. Anybody else fancy registering a team, it's free! Oh don't forget your camera has to have the time and date set to display on photos. Rules of registration of fish caught. It's all stuff that I do already, but I know it will take some getting used to for some guys. All part of the learning curve.
