Been considering getting a lightweight tent.
Spent a night shift checking out a load of reviews and on seems to look reasonable.
I am looking for a 2/3 man so that if my grandsome comes with me we still have room for some gear inside. From what I can gather 2 man tents generally are 1 man plus kit.
One that seems to fit the bill for me is the Vango Banshee 300. I like the lowish profile and the ease of putting it up and down.
Anyone familiar with the Banshee?

Don't know the Vango but can recommend Outwell tents as being really well made. Try yomans outdoors but try at one of their garden centre sites as they do sell of last years models cheap. They do both the Vango and Outwell.
If you don't have one near you, there is Pennels garden centre at Lincoln and Stephens garden centre at Scunthorpe, both of which have yoman sections. If you find one at Scunny, I can always get it for you.

If you can get to a 'Go Outdoors' store they usually have a decent range of tents, usually have them set up on a first floor so you get a better idea of size and setup.

Go Outdoors was where I was looking, they price match and give an extra 10%, which would bring their price down by nearly £30. plus they have some Merrell trainers at half the price of elsewhere that I want.
I will have a look at the Outwell range Phil.

I don't want a pop up so that I can take it inside the hull of the kayak if I wanted to. Go Outdoors Loughborough is my probable supplier.
John the other use was for if my grandson wanted to take it on his own so whilst the bivvy is attractive not ideal for an 18 year old like our Dom.
Cheers all Terry

THat's the thing Phil, I have a great 2 bedder with loads of living space that I got cheap off ebay but this is a light smaller tent just for sleeping. Quality rather than quantity if you like.
