I cannot find any reference to being able to launch a kayak for fishing but I guess an email here will confirm yay or nay.

As far as I am aware, Ulley has no watersports. I have passed many times and often thought it looked a good place.

Yes I'm sorry, I had forgotten the sailing club that I used to be a member of many years ago lost their water and the last time I saw my old friend he said they were possibly reforming the sailing club at Ulley. My mistake-----an age thing.
It is worth contacting them, I will try to get round there next time I visit one of our customers near there.

Ulley does have.a sailing.club although it was closed and.rained.for.2.years due to the dam wall breach back in 2007.
It only really opened again in 2011 iirc.
It does have the sailing club there and you can fish it on a day ticket.
Not far from Ulley are Pebley Reservoir and Harthill Resrvoir which can both be fished on a day ticket. Harthill is quite large with some areas only accessible by a boat. There is a sailing club so i suppose launching should not be an issue.
Pebbley also has an island in the middle way beyond casting distance but it was drained for a.year for some.dam wall remediation. Pebbly is on the road between Killamarsh and Barlborough with parking allround.
Rother valley is ok.for yakking but.they charge for launching and you can only use the main lake and i dont know if u can fish it. There is a.fishing lake that is shared by the model boats and jet skis and ocassionaly water rescue.dogs in summer. I dont suppose the park would object to yakking nd fishing this lake. Ot does get very deep in places. A few yrs ago an old boy fi knew fell in.akd drowned .. His body was only located xhen it came to.the surface as hmthe divers could not.get.into.some of.the holes due.to.the depth of them.
Personally i would.try Harthill and you can all come to my adobe for a cup of tea and a sausage sarnie afterwards.

The only reason I asked about ulley is there are some really big pike in there and only 40% of bank is fishable so a kayak with a piker on should be good lol When I say big pike I mean bbbbbbbig pike ?

Why don't you pay Harthill a call Phil as it is on your door step.
Rother valley model boat lake, is it still used for models, I used to race my petrol engined models there and if they are still used, I would not wish to be on there while they are running as I have seen one smash straight into the rescue boat. They are doing over 80mph weighing in at around 4-6kilo-----misile.

Ill try to get over to Hartill and check it out with tye club.
Kell r u sure the pike are still there as Ulley was totally dry for 2 years due the wall failing... It caused mayehem as.that was my way too and from work at the time.

I used to know Dave very well indeed, a brilliant model engineer. He rebuilt a couple of picco engines, .65 and .40 and my god did they go.

Its a small world. I liked rossi myself. I used to gas flow my engines, re time and re shim them myself.
Since.then i raced 1/8 ic on road cars for.10 year and was quite good... Thats got a bit expensive , 3 to.4 engines per year etc, flew helis and fixed wing up to 3 years ago but its all been sold off and retired and the last boat was sunk.at xmas..
