Sorry lads another question!! I've put my drysuit on a couple of times and not sure it's because I'm not used to it but its like slow strangulation round the neck and feels really tight and uncomfortable. I know its a seal and is designed to stop water entering but just wondered if there was a way of stretching the neck without doing any damage to the suit!?? The suit I have got is a typhoon sport max4? Any advice appreciated as always All the best John

John if you look on the neck seal there should be lines going around it. What i did was stretched the seal over a kiddies bucket and with a razor blade cut around one of the lines to make it bigger. You need to do it carefully so as not to leave any nicks and take a bit off then try it on again. Keep doing this till it feels ok, it needs to be tight enough to make a good seal but not cut off your blood supply. Bear in mind it will also stretch a bit after you've been using it a while.

Please do not cut it yet John.
The best method is to pre stretch the neck and cuffs which will mean that you will either have to cut less off the latex or none at all.
Place a saucpan of around 8'' into the neck, first applying a bit of talc to the inside of the neck and leave for a week. Do a similar thing to the cuffs if they are too tight, a tea mug is ideal.
After a week take the saucpan out and leave for an hour. Try on the suit for a while to see if it has moved enough. Repeat the process again if required. If you still need to trim the neck, do as stated above, ONE RING AT A TIME AND TRY THE SUIT ON.
Once you have cut it, you can't stick it back on so take the time and trouble to use this method.
