Ive been seriously thinking about getting a boat for fishing but one which i could travel alot further along some of our rivers.Ive looked into the liciences that i will need and was thinking of a 10-12 ft jon boat. One of the ones ive considered is the sundolphin jon boat .h2o kayaks have them on thier website.Any thoughts would be helpful.

I will keep kayak fishing what ever but sometimes would like as you say more room and be able to travel that bit further .Theres a few small boat options that you could use a small outbord without big boat costs .Just something id like to try cheers for the reviews.Hows the kea was ok.

Evening all - have a look at these boats, I have had 14ft semi flat for 6 years which I use for Pike fishing on rivers in the winter, mint boats great build quality and very good platforms to fish from. As pointed out you will need a river licence ( 30 day explorer is the cheapest if you don't use the boat more than 30 days a year ) Insurance wise I use craft insure very good and cheap. www.seastrikeboats.co.uk/Hope his helps all the best John
