They certainly are a great alternative to the brands we have come to believe to be market leaders.

Good on yer Al. I really like the outriggers, proper job. One thing I noticed there Terry was the seat on the Abaco looks better than the one you have, the K-Largo has the same as you so I suspect that they have supplied you the wrong one mate.
The seat is really important to me and is high on my list of things to have right, the one fitted to the Abaco in the video looks far more comfortable.
It is interesting that outriggers are having some interest just lately from a few people who would never have been seen dead with them a while ago. I always found it somewhat arrogant to dispel the virtues of outriggers as they do have their place. If they were a waste of time and only a whimp would use them, how come they sell so many in the USA, simple because they work and allow far greater methods of fishing and of course to allow those who have a disability or fear of getting dumped to have their chance and be fully involved in the sport. I applaud RTM in producing the first set of outriggers that do not look like some after thought. Well done that company----now promote them please and let new comers see that there is an extra element of safety available.

Great choice of music al and good to see these kayaks getting some justly deserved promotion. Still don't understand why these kayaks haven't got a bigger profile over here. The abaco looks like a good boat and for anyone considering the k-largo i can vouch for it's stability and build quality.

RTM have the right kit but need to work on marketing after all that is how Ocean made such a big impact here and it is now time to watch Hobie because they are now starting with a vengence.
I would love to see more of these fine kayaks around but it is going to take some hard work on RTM's part.

i tell it how it is ,,i rang a company last week ill call em kayak ocean for an example i wanted a rudder,,NO we have not got any I wanted a rear box ,,NO we have not got any I wanted a seat for a very popular boat ,,NO we have not got any
A customer had got a boat and the seat was letting water in though the seat bolt fixing ,,,they were less than helpful ,,,the days of there customer servies have gone!!!! I also wanted an up to date stock list,,that was 3 weeks ago now and still not got one
this brand of boats if im asked ill sell them but i would not recomend one now ,,,to give a good customer servies ya need to get one your self,,,this can not be done with these boats now
i have two chocies for the future of these boats at the shack ,,they improve there customer dept or i may just ring the mother ship and tell them what a balls up there boats now are
or go for the distrubition our self and cut out the middle man that makes the hard work but as were no millionare i may be forced to kick the brand to the curb and remove it from the shack,, for the customers own benifit ,,i wont sell what i wont back or would use and wont let a customer down

I like the look of the k largo, has anyone actually had a paddle in one? They dont' come with a paddle or seat, which i find a little strange, as they are not that cheap!

Mick, The thing is with kayaks at the top of the range like the K-Largo and Abaco they are rarely first time buyers and will usually go to people who already have a quality seat and carbon paddle. You usually find that is in fact the kayaks at the cheapest end of the market on Ebay that throw in a seat and paddle most of these will be replaced quite soon but suffice to get a paddler on the water. You will see that Daz was paddling a brand new K-Largo in his thread coarsekayakfishing.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=catchreports&thread=428&page=1#3465He will be doing a full review in the near future, if you are near Llangorse on Easter Saturday he will be there as will I with the Abaco and the Tempo or if you are anywhere near Yorkshire then Kayak Fishing Shack are now major RTM stockists.

I've had one for about 6 weeks now and am very pleased with it, it is a fairly heavy kayak but that's cause its built well. It paddles and tracks well, has been well thought out as a fishing platform, and is very stable.
