Talked to a chap at Erith a couple of days ago, I was taking some photos to put up ( if the proboard stops locking up on me ,I'll post them !) he asked why I was taking pictures, I said about our kayak fishing ,got the usual reply that were daft etc, ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) but he told me that he used to fish from his boat there and that as the ouse is tidal up to brownshill staunch - upstream of Erith 3 1/2 miles ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) -you can fish it from a boat without hinder. I told him CFPAS were good for their waters beyond the bridge , but this section is an area I have fished for a couple of years with no-one bothering me ,and now I know why ! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) If you were down this way and wanted fished the ouse, Erith is an easy launch and park, but this upstream area has good deep water and a couple of marinas and an island ,and a grub pub onto the water ! further up from Erith is one of my favourite areas, trees are hanging over the edge in a solid strip of 1/4 mile, its know for its bream fishing near the dismantled railway bridge , near to the staunch water is very aerated and should be good for jacks ( on the fly maybe ?) or zander late in the day. Haven't fished it as got ignored by the clubs (one bank only ) but as we are boat fishing its open for us. Will escape from the family early week at the soonest ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) and take some photos of all these areas. Look out for the seals near the marinas, they pop up and make you jump a bit ! good for photos if you notice them first.
