Right, I have got my pike fly gear and some flies the traces on the lines I have recieved have been fitted with ling swivels but they look a bit cumbersome to me. Other than knotting the wire direct to the hook what attaching gear do you guys use and recommend?

This is what was seriously recommended to me, which reminds me, I need to get some more but not sure if the Pike Shack has any left. They are really good but can be a little tricky with cold hands, the main problem I had was with popper flies where you don't have a completely open hook eye and a pair of pliers is needed to grip the clip but having said that, I now make the fly and allow a bit more space around the eye. They can be bought elsewhere. pikeshack.co.uk/shop/index.php/accessories/terminal-tackle/fastach-snaps-size-2-50lb.htmlPhil

Somewhere on here is a post from Phil Eaton showing where you can get them and a size chart to show what is available. I threw the packet so I don't know what size I have..
