I have a couple of these and they are great but they rust very easily. They do make life easy for quick mooring to bushes and rushes.
As an optionyou could buy a pair of the cheap plastic work clamps and drill the handle and thread some cord.

Normally very cheap from car boot sales and the ones I have are a stronger grip the the metal ones. Phil

Do you use the american method of a pole to tie off to. I have seen these used by many anglers in ' kayak angler ' magazine, could be useful when in the river/lake margins.

funny you should say that i dropped my anchor right in close then paddled in even closer then stuck aforty eight inch bank stick down into the gravel and silt just ahead of my toes kept me nice and still .
