Well folks I can confirm there WILL be predator fishing from a kayak on Rutland Water very soon. I am at work as I have received the news so cannot to a full release yet. A couple of points though : No solo anglers and if in a group. Every angler must me close enough to another so as to be able to effect a rescue if needed. VHF would be encouraged. More to follow. Terry

Week days only through September that's why I have suggested Sept 1st.
Any one interested?

Ian that's not a problem. Group access is going to be quite easy and if we want to put a big one on we can. Terry

I am going to say yes. But I am in the middle of an appeal at work that may go to a tribunal so it will be dependant on that.
But YES let's plan for that. I will get all the details finalised next week

Don't forget the shallower water, there's plenty of good zander in 12'deep areas these days along with pike and perch. There doesn't seem to be many big fish coming out round the towers these days and its always a worry bringing the zander up from such depths with their swim bladders poking out through their mouths. Its a good idea to 'torpedo' fish vertically back ASAP to help them get back down and balance the pressures again. Well done all the same its a great result Terry.
